The truck fire was reported at the Nerang north off-ramp, a QFES spokeswoman said.

The fire, which appears to have started in the back of the tip truck, was “well alight” at 6.30am.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze, made sure the area was safe and left about 7.20am.

Gold Coast police were on scene conducting traffic control, a spokeswoman said.

A specialist vehicle will be required to remove the remains of the tip truck.

QFES was not able to say what ignited the truck fire.

Motorists should be cautious travelling in the area and expect congestion.

The driver of the truck has escaped without injury.

Queensland Ambulance Service has not been called to the fire, a spokeswoman said.

It comes after Monday’s truck fire on the M1 at Ormeau led to peak hour delays for morning commuters.

The driver of the B-double was not injured in the incident.

Police said the woman “sustained minor injuries”, but Queensland Ambulance Service stated the woman “did not show any obvious injuries” and did not want to be taken to hospital

Energex was also called to assist after the crash.

Meanwhile, a man and a child have both suffered minor injuries after being struck by a car in separate incidents on Thursday morning.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the man suffered minor “upper limb injuries”.

While responding to that incident, paramedics came across a school-aged boy nearby, who had suffered “minor injuries”, after being struck by a car at low speed.
