A social media sensation known for his ‘jackass-style stunts’ has shared an inside look at his extravagant $130,000 Halloween party at a Gold Coast theme park.
Millionaire entrepreneur and social media identity Jackson O’Doherty rented out Dreamworld over the weekend to celebrate his annual “unique” Halloween party with 500 of his friends.
Mr O’Doherty said it was a no-brainer to host his second Halloween party at the Gold Coast theme park.
“I just enjoy bringing a bunch of my friends and good people together to celebrate and have a fun time and going to all kinds of lengths and efforts to provide a unique party experience that’s different from a standard house party or a nightclub experience,” he said.
The comedic content creator said it took him up to six weeks to negotiate with Dreamworld.
“Roughly the event cost me around $130,000 and we had Culture Kings and Focus Caffeinated Gum as two sponsors but all in all I spent close to $100,000 personally.”
Mr O’Doherty said they had access to three theme park rides, food stands, catering, multiple bars, DJs, fearphobia actors scaring people, a small maze, jetpack and firework display, inflatable basketball castle and more.
“After living in Los Angeles I realised there’s so many fun parties out there. There isn’t enough big events here so I wanted to provide a fun time.”
The Gold Coast-based creator said he had held four “big” parties over the past three years, including two Halloween parties, a New Year’s Eve party and one where Shannon Noll performed in his backyard.
“Potentially I will do my own festival one day,” he said.
