A Gold Coast business is mopping up shattered glass after more than $34,000 worth of items were stolen.

Gold Coast police said the bicycle store, Just Ride on Price Street in Nerang, was broken into around 12.40am.

Just Ride posted images to social media of shattered glass covering the floor of their store.

“Please be patient with us this morning while we attempt the clean-up and ongoing investigations,” it said.

The store said four bikes were stolen and they warned other bike shops to be on high alert.

“These guys knew what they were doing,” it said.

They believed the stolen bikes were a Trek Session (valued at $7,500), Santa Cruz Bullit (valued at $14,959), Scott Gambler (valued at $7,400) and Scott Genuis (valued at $5,000).

“Please keep an eye out on social media for anyone offloading these bikes.”

Gold Coast police said investigations were ongoing.
