Burgers are a food group not to be underestimated — but which joint on the Gold Coast has the best buns of all?

Gold Coaster Don Allen, along with a dozen others, nominated Chaddies Patties saying they had the “best burgers in town, ‘specially the double cheese”.

Harrison Brown also nominated Chaddies Patties.

“Chaddies Patties by a country mile. Honestly such an awesome burger, meat is fresh, cheese is moist and dripped down the sides. You cannot go wrong,” he commented.

Bruce Normyle suggested Longboards Laidback Eatery and Bar in Surfers Paradise saying they “consistently deliver the best burger on the Gold Coast”.

Mitch Turner nominated Burg World in Helensvale.

“Check them out on Facebook, [they] have a good menu and always trying different burgers and chicken for the menu,” he said.

Facebook nominations closed on Friday, September 13.

Nominations, via the comment section on our Facebook post, were calculated and finalists will be announced on Friday, September 13 at 6pm.

Finalist voting will be a subscriber-only poll vote that runs on the Bulletin website.

The poll will close on Friday, September 20 at 6pm.

The winner will be announced in the Gold Coast Bulletin paper and online.

**Note nominations from outside the City of Gold Coast will not be counted**
