Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has revealed the state recorded no new cases of Coivd as hundreds of Gold Coasters line up for the vaccine.

Ms Palaszczuk said a record 33,004 people got the jab on Saturday.

Ms Palaszczuk said she was “pretty sure” to state would tick over to 60 per cent people with their first shot by the end of Sunday.

“Can I think Queenslanders for yesterday. Some were turned away in some centres but there is plenty of capacity today. Please come out today and roll up your sleeve.”

All up, 59.34 per cent of Queenslanders have had a first vaccine dose and 41.1 per cent are “fully vaccinated”.

“This is absolutely excellent news,” Ms Palaszczuk said.
