Club president Matt Cousins and vice president Chris Qualischefski spoke about Anthony’s personality, love of riding and contribution to the club and the lives of his family and friends.

“Like all of you, I’m heartbroken by the loss our mate Knuckles – a life who has been taken far to soon and left the world so much a lesser place,” Mr Cousins said.

He described Anthony as an “honest, yet hard racer”, and “loveable larrikin” with “enthusiasm and tenacity”, who generously gave his time to mentor other riders.

Mr Cousins finished with a poignant message to Anthony: “Godspeed Knuckles.”

Mr Qualischefski thanked the crowd on behalf of Anthony’s parents Frank and Anita Gordon.

“Firstly, Frank, Anita and the whole extended family just wanted me to portray that they are just so overwhelmed by the support that they’ve had from people far and wide,” he said.

Mr Qualischefski said Anthony was “the truest, most loyal friend that anyone could ever have”.

“I’m just absolutely heartbroken and lost – we all are, all his other mates, his racing mates,” he said.

“Anthony he dressed a bit tough and that … but like his mother he just has these blue, soft, gentle eyes, so I just saw through that straight away, and so did everyone else.”

Modern music including a remixed version of Rockstar by Post Malone was played during the service and a video was played showcasing Anthony’s colourful life.

Images included the teen relaxing with loved ones, having a dance, mucking around with Santa, cracking jokes and mooning the camera as a child, which drew giggles from the large crowd.
