Victoria Police to prepare report for coroner after man found dead on Geelong Ring Road

A 33-year-old Corio man has been identified as the victim of a tragic accident in Highton after being crushed by his car while changing a tyre.

A 33-year-old Corio man has been identified as the victim of a tragic accident in Highton after being crushed by his car while changing a tyre in the early hours of Friday morning.

Police and paramedics were called to the Geelong Ring Road at about 1.50am after the man was found dead on the road.

Investigators who attended the scene believe he had been changing a tyre on his car “when the vehicle come off the jack and landed on him”.

Crews tried to revive him at the scene but were unsuccessful, according to a police spokeswoman.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
