A truck has ripped through the side of a car and smashed the window of another in a scary crash in Geelong’s CBD on Friday.
It’s understood a Hilux Ute was parallel parking on Ryrie St near the intersection with Yarra St when a truck in the left lane swerved to avoid hitting it, collecting a passing car in the process just at 8.10am.
Most of the right side of the car was completely ripped off, while the back window of the ute was also smashed.
There was no visible damage to the truck, which had a large bull bar on the front.
No one was seriously injured.
It’s understood paramedics were on scene to check on all parties, but left shortly after.
A section of Ryrie St remained shut eastbound after 9am, with police still on scene.
