A man has been arrested and a woman is believed to be on the run following an alleged aggravated burglary in Norlane.
It’s alleged the pair entered a Station St home at 3pm on Thursday, where they demanded cash from its occupants.
A firearm was allegedly discharged into the roof of the house.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said a 20-year-old Bell Post Hill man was arrested following the alleged aggravated burglary.
“It is alleged a man and woman entered an address on Station St and demanded cash from the male occupant about 3pm,” she said.
“There were no physical injuries.
The spokeswoman said police negotiated with the man, who was arrested at the scene.
“He was taken into custody and will be interviewed by detectives,” she said.
“Police searched the property and located a firearm inside.
“The female offender, who was not located inside the property, remains outstanding and the investigation is ongoing.”
