‘Scolding’: Two officers helped rescue a puppy after she was allegedly attacked by her owner

A man is facing charges after police caught him stomping and beating a four-month-old puppy outside a Geelong West supermarket.
Police officers attended the Albert St scene just after 11am Wednesday where they found a 29-year-old man stomping and beating the Staffordshire puppy outside ALDI.
They intervened and stopped the man from inflicting any further injuries.
The dog suffered bruising, scratches and scolding during the attack.
The female puppy was transferred to the Geelong Animal Welfare Society, where she is now available for adoption.
A Rippleside man, believed to be the dog’s owner, has been processed by the RSPCA for causing injuries to an animal.
He is due to summonsed to appear before Geelong Magistrates Court.
