The man, aged in his 60s, was flown to the Royal Melbourne hospital in a serious but non-life-threatening condition on Friday May 23 after being struck by a car.
The collision took place on Fisher St in Torquay at 5:10pm.
Police believe the rider, who was nearing the intersection of Riverside Dr, was hit by a car travelling in the same direction as him.
The driver of the car stopped and assisted police at the scene.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said the motorcyclist suffered serious lower body injuries from the collision.
He remains in hospital but is now in a stable condition.
The incident came three weeks after a motorcyclist died in Eastern Views following a horror incident on the Great Ocean Road.
The motorbike collided with a Ford Ranger towing a caravan, resulting in the death of the rider.
The driver of the Ford was uninjured.
