A man is in a critical condition after reportedly suffering a cardiac arrest near GMHBA stadium after the Cats’ final game for 2023.

Geelong was beaten by the Western Bulldogs on Saturday night, with the game ending about 10pm.

Paramedics were called to the stadium’s Moorabool St carpark about 10.30pm.

It’s understood the patient was treated near St Mary’s oval.

Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said the man was treated by paramedics at the scene and transported to Geelong hospital in a serious condition.

Witnesses reported paramedics could be seen doing CPR.

A Barwon Health spokeswoman said, as of Sunday morning, the man was in a critical condition.
