A Clifton Springs drug trafficker hit a 16-year-old boy with a car while her boyfriend yelled at her to “run him over”, a court was told.

In a terrifying incident in December 2019, a teenage boy was forced to run for his life on a Melbourne soccer pitch when Maddison Lockman, 24, chased him down in a car and hit him.

The impact knocked the boy off his feet, causing him to land heavily on his right side. He required treatment in hospital for the injuries.

While Lockman followed him around the oval, her partner Michael McIntyre yelled at her to, “run him over, run him over”.

Just moments earlier, McIntyre left the car and chased the boy with a taser while he yelled, “come back, I will f---ing tase you”.

Lockman pleaded guilty to reckless conduct endangering injury, recklessly causing injury, trafficking methamphetamine, unlawful assault, burglary, theft and failing to appear in the Geelong Magistrates Court.

McIntyre, who appeared in support of Lockman, pleaded guilty to his part in the Melbourne incident and served 180 days behind bars.

Both of the accused sat in court wearing tracksuit pants and hoodies.

McIntyre had to be told to stop interrupting the proceedings, with Magistrate Michelle Hodgson telling Lockman’s lawyer she was “not interested in hearing from your client’s boyfriend”.

In October 2020, Lockman was found driving while drug affected.

She was found with four resealable bags of methamphetamine, an ice pipe, mobile SIM cards and empty resealable bags.

As she was placed under arrest, Lockman attempted to remove a wallet and throw it into a nearby bush but was caught.

Police found another four bags of ice inside the wallet.

In June 2022, a staff member of Coffee HQ at Flinders St Railway Station said she found Lockman rummaging through the kiosk.

The staff member stopped Lockman, who also works in hospitality, from loading items into a trolley and there was a “tug of war”.

Lockman let go but walked out with the staff member’s backpack that had her purse, bank cards and laptop inside.

When questioned by police, Lockman claimed she was in a “mad psychosis” and “believed the graffiti was talking to me”.

Lockman added she “felt like I was in a video game”.

Ms Hodgson said Lockman using the car “as a weapon” would have been “terrifying for that particular victim”.

Referring to the ice trafficking offending, Ms Hodgson said it was a serious matter because “there is little doubt that trafficking in methamphetamine is really a scourge on this community”.

Lockman was convicted and placed on a community corrections order.
