The Kuranda Range Road has reopened after a dramatic single vehicle crash that left a blue sedan upside down on the roadway.
At 2.21pm Queensland Traffic and Main Main Roads sent an alert staing the road had fully reopened.
Earlier traffic on the major mountain road linking Cairns to the Tablelands was brought to a standstill after the Holden flipped onto its roof.
At 12.38pm emergency services were called to a section of the Kuranda Range Rd near Avondale Creek about 2km from the bottom of the range.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics arrived at the scene and were treated two patients.

Police were also at the scene taking statements from those who witnessed the blue Holden ute crash.
