The wreckage of two vehicles blocking the Bruce Hwy at Innisfail has been cleared and the road is now open to traffic.

One woman was transported to hospital after a crash between a truck and a car.

Paramedics responded to the crash at the intersection of the highway and Gladys St about 11am and treated the woman for a neck injury before transporting her to Innisfail hospital.

“She’s definitely stable,” a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said.

One firefighter team also attended the crash. A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said there were no entrapments.

“There has been an oil leak,” the spokesman said.

A police spokeswoman said one lane of the highway was affected and both vehicles were blocking the road.
