A 19-year-old woman has been charged following an alleged serious assault at a licensed premises in Cairns.

A 19-year-old Gordonvale woman has been arrested following an alleged assault at a licensed premises in Cairns on Tuesday.
Police were called to a disturbance outside the Cock and Bull, just before 2pm Tuesday, on the corner of Digger and Grove Streets in Cairns North.
Police allege the woman from Gordonvale allegedly assaulted a 60-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman, both from Aurukun, with a metal pole.
During the alleged assault, the 38-year-old woman suffered head injuries and the 60-year-old man sustained non-life-threatening injuries; both were transported to Cairns Hospital for treatment.
It will be further alleged that drug paraphernalia was found in the possession of the 19-year-old woman when she was arrested.
The woman has been charged with two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed in company, and one of possess utensils.
She is due to appear before Cairns Magistrates Court on October 14.
A separate 38-year-old woman at the scene was assisting police with ongoing investigations into the incident.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward to further assist with their inquiry.
