Emergency services have been called to another crash, this time involving two vehicles that collided head-on at a busy Edmonton intersection.

At 11.50am paramedics were called to the corner of Hambledon Drive and Walker Road after a red Toyota smashed into a white Audi.

All patients self extricated and one patient has been taken to Cairns Hospital in stable condition, according to the Queensland Ambulance Service.

Police were made aware of the crash but the job was considered to be of low priority and officers did not attend.

“There was a request for us to do traffic control but QAS and the fireys are on scene,” a Queensland Police spokesman said.

Tow trucks have been called and are now in the process of removing the cars which both have significant front-end damage.

Earlier this morning a teenager was taken to hospital in a stable condition following a suspected car vs. bike incident in Manunda on Wednesday morning.

A Queensland Ambulance Services spokeswoman confirmed crews responded to reports of a ‘car vs. teenager’ on English Street at 8.12am.

“The patient sustained shoulder and arm injuries and was transported to Cairns hospital in a stable condition,” the spokeswoman said.

It comes after traffic was temporarily reduced on Mulgrave Road earlier this morning following a two-vehicle crash, partially blocking the inbound lane.

Emergency services responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash involving a small truck and a car around 8am.

A QAS spokeswoman confirmed two patients had been taken to hospital in a stable condition.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads confirmed traffic had been affected, with lanes reduced inbound towards Cairns.

TMR confirmed the road reopened around 8.30am.

Earlier, A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said one vehicle had blocked the inbound lane, with police on scene to direct traffic.

“Everyone is out of the vehicle,” the spokeswoman said.

“Police and ambos are also on scene.”

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed crews were assessing one patient with lower back pain.

It comes after the Gillies Range Road was temporarily closed around 7am on Wednesday morning due to debris on the road.

TMR confirmed the hazard had been cleared and both lanes of traffic re-open as of 8.05am.
