Traffic delays expected following motorcycle crash on Captain Cook Highway

Traffic has been impacted along the Captain Cook Highway and a man has been hospitalised after a two-vehicle crash near Port Douglas on Tuesday afternoon.

Traffic has been impacted along the Captain Cook Highway after a two-vehicle crash near Port Douglas on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency service crews responded to reports of a car and motorcycle crash on the Captain Cook Highway at Craiglie around 3.20pm.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed crews assessed a male patient for a minor leg injury.

“He’s been transported to Mossman hospital in a stable condition with a minor leg injury,” the spokeswoman said.

The Department of Traffic and Main Roads confirmed lanes were reduced in both directions and urged motorists to drive with caution.
