Three people have been injured after a two car collision

Three people are injured and police are directing traffic after a two-car collision in the Daintree this morning.

Three people have been injured in a two-car collision along Mossman-Daintree Road this morning.

Queensland Ambulance Service received the call just before 9am to attend the scene which is now blocking traffic.

A male with an ankle injury and a female with seatbelt injuries has been transported to Mossman Hospital.

Paramedics are continuing to treat a third person at the scene for injuries to his arm.

Police are attempting to reopen one lane at the site as soon as possible but were unable to provide an estimate.
