Boy, 10, flown to Cairns Hospital after single vehicle crash in Laura
A 10-year-old boy who was involved in a serious car crash in FNQ has been flown south due to the nature of his critical injuries.

A young boy has been transferred from Cairns Hospital to Townsville University hospital in a critical condition following a car crash on the weekend.
The 10-year-old boy was flown by the Royal Flying Doctor Service to Cairns Hospital with significant head injuries following a single vehicle crash on the Peninsular Development Road near Laura.
Paramedics attended the scene at 6pm Sunday where seven patients were assessed.
The child was flown to Cairns Hospital for treatment to critical head injuries.
A female patient in her 40s was transported with a hip injury to Cairns Hospital in a stable condition.
Five stable uninjured patients did not require further treatment or transport to hospital.
As of 11am Monday the young boy remained in critical condition in Cairns Hospital.
The boy was transported later Monday to Townsville University Hospital in a critical condition to continue treatment.
