Rescue 510 flown to injured driver 140km west of Cairns
The Rescue helicopter has been sent to help man who sustained chest injuries in remote car crash following the rollover of a ute west of Cairns.

The rescue helicopter has been sent to a remote road crash west of Cairns.
At 10.30am emergency services received a call for assistance following a single vehicle rollover at Barwidgi.
At 11.15am the Rescue 510 helicopter departed Cairns to fly a distance of 140km to the crash site located between Mount Surprise and Chillagoe.
And at about 12pm medics arrived at Gingerella Fossilbrook Rd to treat a man aged in his 20s suffering from chest injuries.
The crash of the vehicle, understood to be a utility, happened at the corner of Gingerella Fossilbrook and Junevale roads.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the man appeared to be in a stable condition however it was not yet known where he would be flown for further treatment.
“It will all depend on the extent of his injuries,” she said.
