Kuranda Range Road closed after truck crashes into tree
A major Cairns range road has been closed for over two hours as emergency services cleared the scene of a truck crash that left a tree across the major highway.

Kuranda Range Road has reopened after emergency services responded to a truck carrying 4 tonnes of chicken meat which struck a tree on the Kuranda Range Rd in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Services responded at 4.51am after the truck struck a tree at the Rainforest Nature Park causing the tree to fall across the road.
A Queensland Ambulance service spokeswoman advised that there would be heavy delays as crews worked to clear the fallen tree.
Paramedics Assessed the stable male patient in his 40s following the crash into the tree.
The patient declined transport to hospital.
As of 6am the Range road was expected to remain closed for at least a couple hours.
The incident follows a spate of crashes on Monday afternoon.
Emergency services rushed to several incidents in the Cairns region on Boxing Day, including a two-vehicle crash on the Tablelands, and an incident where a four-wheel drive and the boat it was towing jackknifed which also closed the Kuranda Range Road for a few hours from around 4pm.
As of 8am the road has been cleared and is reopened to traffic, however expect delays due to backed up traffic.
