Man found wounded at Earlville bus stop, police investigating

A man has been transported to hospital after being found wounded, allegedly stabbed at an Earlville bus stop.

A man has been transported to hospital in a serious condition after he was found stabbed in the chest at an Earlville bus stop.

Emergency services were called to reports of a stabbing at 3.25pm on Monday afternoon after a man was found wounded at a bus stop.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed multiple units responded to a wounding.

“Crews treated a male in his 20s with wounds to his chest. He was transported in a serious condition to Cairns Hospital,” the spokesman said.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said police and ambulance services were at the scene while the victim was being treated by paramedics.

“We are making inquiries to figure out what’s going on. Police are still trying to investigate what happened,” the spokesman said.
