Man, 44, charged after stabbing on Morehead St in Bungalow
Police have charged a man in his 40s after he allegedly stabbed a man in the back in Cairns.

Police have charged a 44-year-old man after he allegedly stabbed another man in the back in Bungalow on Friday afternoon.
Police were called to a Morehead St address about 5.10pm to find another man, also 44, with a knife wound to his upper back.
Paramedics rushed him to Cairns Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police declared a crime scene and arrested the suspect.
“It will be alleged … a 44-year-old man approached a second 44-year-old man and stabbed him with a knife to the upper back,” a police spokeswoman said.
“The man has been charged with acts intended to maim/disfigure/disable.
“His bail was refused and he is expected to appear before Cairns Magistrates Court (on Saturday) February 25.
“We’ve checked in on the (stabbing victim). He’s currently conscious and stable.”
