A MALANDA woman has died after a single-vehicle rollover in a rural town on Wednesday afternoon.
Initial investigations from police show the 56-year-old woman was travelling north on Hurse Road at Lakeland around 3.30pm when the car left the road and rolled.
Man killed after car crashes into creek on remote FNQ road
She was the only person in the car but sustained significant injuries and died at the scene of the crash.
Police are urging anyone with dashcam footage or who witnessed the crash to contact them.
The Cooktown Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
