From sleepy newborns and rambunctious babies to three sets of smiley twins, the Far North is home to hundreds of adorable bubs from Tully to Cape York.

With more than 150 nominations, we have compiled a shortlist featuring all the babies who have been nominated for The Cairns Post’s cutest baby polls.

The bubs, born between January and December 2024, are the last to be born in generation Alpha, with 2025 heralding the beginning of Generation Beta.

Following Generations X, Y and Z, Generation Alpha are defined as those born between 2010 and 2024.

Children born in this generation will likely be defined as the most tech-savvy and digitally empowered generation in history, with more access to data and information to previous generations, and greater environmental awareness.

Generation Alpha is the first generation to be born entirely in the 21st century.

The cutest baby competition follows The Cairns Post’s cutest baby call out for 2023, where Maino Mene from the Torres Strait was voted FNQ’s cutest baby boy while Kewarra Beach’s Miyala Mow was named FNQ’s cutest baby girl.

Voting will remain open until January 20
