The Cairns Performing Arts Centre was home to the sweetest treat of Christmas when the June Vale Dancescapes held their dazzling show, Welcome to Candyland, on the weekend.

A DAZZLING display of dance genres from tap to hip-hop, jazz and contemporary was on show in three outstanding performances by the June Vale Dancescapes troupe on the weekend at the Cairns Performing Arts Centre.

Audiences were treated to a kaleidoscope of colour and amazing dance ability as performers gave their all in the show titled Welcome to Candyland, which showcased the magic and colour of Christmas.
Former professional jazz dancer Dancescapes principal June Vale had said ahead of the performances that she was extremely proud of how hard the dancers had been practising their routines and how passionate they were about polishing their moves to ensure a showstopping effect.
Ms Vale said that the performances were the result of many months of gruelling rehearsal to ensure they were ready to show their polished routines on stage for family and friends at CPAC.
Audiences said they were thrilled with the spectacular dancing, lighting, music and sets which combined to make Welcome to Candyland the sweetest hit.
On social media Judy Billiau posted: “Huge congrats Dancescapes The June Vale Dancers Cairns Australia!
“I was so lucky to enjoy yesterday afternoon’s performance. It was absolutely amazing!”
