Jetstar Japan flights to Osaka and Tokyo delayed until June

FLIGHTS to a major international market have been delayed after initial plans to relaunch in March.
It was previously announced Jetstar flights to Japan would begin on March 27 to both Osaka and Tokyo.
Jetstar flights to both destinations are now expected to resume again on June 1.
In January Cairns Airport chief executive Richard Barker told the Cairns Post there would be flights to Japan soon.
“Initially we expect three flights a week to Osaka and Tokyo and three also to Bali, with aircraft capacity still to be determined, it will depend on demand,” he said.
The Far North should expect some more visitors in the coming months. Singapore Airlines resumed flights to Cairns on March 28.
The carrier will operate a triweekly service until May 1. It is then expected to increase to five flights a week.
