BEERS, German get-up, competitions and live entertainment brought Far Northerners to an iconic drinks hub for another year of Oktoberfest.
Hemingways hosted the event on Sunday with hundreds of beer fanatics filling out the venue.
Looking to blow off steam from her intense medical degree, Mtari Soerono spent the day drinking with other med students.
“It’s a nice way to rewind and relax, my favourite was the raspberry beer,” she said.
Winners of the keg lifting competitions, Ben Herbert and Renee Donald were proud to be taking home the champion title after an event-filled weekend.
“I’ve been training for this now for a good solid eight months,” Mr Herbert said.
“Feeling a little bit dusty after Gordonvale races but I kept my mentality going, and I pulled through, it’s been good.”
“I wanted to make my husband proud, and goal achieved,” Ms Donald said.
Hemingways’ head of hospitality, Roman Haslinger said Oktoberfest was all about the atmosphere and people who love to “down a beer”.
“It’s really all about a special style beer and a festival that’s meant to be for mixing and mingling,” he said.
