Police intercepted the vehicle on Supply Rd and allege the driver was on a learner licence and was not displaying L-plates.

They further alleged the supervisor in the passenger seat had a disqualified licence and was not able to supervise the learner driver.

The driver was subjected to a roadside breath test and allegedly recorded a positive result before he was transported to the Cairns Police Station and recorded a breath alcohol concentration of 0.207 per cent.
