A PINNACLE Far North social event is gaining momentum for 2022 with the Cairns Amateurs Carnival set for September 8 to 10 with trackside and waterfront marquee events.
Cairns Amateurs President David Goodman said the event’s theme ‘Racing on the Great Barrier Reef’ aimed to take advantage of southern markets and open borders.
He said early bookings included a 60-strong sporting group from Victoria, and there were only 80 of 560 tickets remaining for the gala ball.
“Spring is the perfect time to visit Cairns,” Mr Goodman said.
“Cairns Amateurs is a powerful drawcard for visitors to this region and punches well above its weight in providing great memories – not just your habitual racegoers or fashion set but anyone looking for a good time in the great outdoors.”
Online bookings – general carnival admission is $25 and membership packages are $328 for two – can be made at www.cairnsamateurs.org.au
