ADORABLE, four-legged fur babies are looking for loving homes as Pet Adoption Month kicks off for March.
Emma Bradfield, store manager at Bungalow PETStock, said there is a range of potential pets from canaries to hermit crabs but they’ve just welcomed three new kittens they have up for adoption.
“The slogan is ‘adopt different’, we’re encouraging people to think outside the square perhaps adopting an older cat or dog, a bonded pair or a different animal than what you may consider,” she said.
Ms Bradfield said her PETStock location has partnered with Colleen from Cat Rehoming and Boarding and help get a third of her cats adopted.
“People’s mindsets definitely changed towards adoption because more people are speaking up about the impact that it has on the animals.”
Bentley Park’s Sarah Robertson has been adopting for years and started when a cat off the street adopted her. Now, she has two loving cats.
“They’re around me a lot, they’re just really good company, good companionship,” she said.
