A man in his 40s has been rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries

A man in his 40s has sustained potentially life-threatening injuries after his electric scooter collided with a car.

A man in his 40s sustained potentially life-threatening injuries after his electric scooter collided with a car along Mulgrave Road at around 11.20am.

A spokesman for the Queensland Ambulance Service said the man operating the e-scooter sustained potentially life-threatening head and leg injuries.

Paramedics were called to the scene in Bungalow at 11.25am and left a little after 12pm when the man driving the e-scooter was transported to Cairns Hospital.

The driver of the car did not sustain any injuries.
