7yo girl rushed to hospital after snakebite at Clifton Beach, Cairns

A seven-year-old girl has been taken to Cairns Hospital after being bitten by a snake on a private property at Clifton Beach.

A seven-year-old girl was rushed to Cairns Hospital after being bitten by a snake on a private property at Clifton Beach on Tuesday night.

She has since been discharged.

Meanwhile, emergency services also responded to a crash involving a car and motorcycle on Tiffany St at White Rock about 8.20pm.

A 19-year-old man, presumed to be the motorcycle driver, suffered abrasions and a leg injury. He was taken to Cairns Hospital where he remained in a stable condition at 7am on Wednesday.

Elsewhere, a 16-year-old boy suffered a knee injury after falling from his e-scooter on the corner of Benn St and Wheeler Court about 11.30pm.

He was taken to Cairns Hospital where he also remained in a stable condition.
