The 15-year-old Yarrabah girl was charged after the 12-year-old boy was injured at Yarrabah.

Around 10pm on Wednesday, December 4, it is alleged an altercation occurred between a girl and a 12-year-old boy shortly after the boy sustained a stab wound to his lower back.

He was transferred to Cairns Hospital where he was treated for the non-life threatening injury.

Police have also been investigating a break and enter at an Anderson Street address on September 16 where a wallet and car keys were stolen.

A short time later a Toyota Camry was also allegedly stolen from the address.

A 15-year-old girl was taken into custody yesterday at Yarrabah for both incidents.

She has been charged with one count each of wounding, enter dwelling, unlawful use of motor vehicle, and breach of bail condition.

She faced Childrens Court on December 6th where she did not make an application for bail. She was remanded in custody with her matter to be next heard on December 17.
