Woman charged with murder after man stabbed to death in Ballarat

A woman has been charged with murder after a man was allegedly stabbed to death at a Ballarat home.

A woman has been charged with murder after a man was allegedly stabbed to death at Ballarat on Saturday morning.

Police have alleged the 38-year-old woman stabbed the 47-year-old man at a Park Lane home, Mount Helen property just before 8am on Saturday.

Despite attempts by emergency services to save his life, he died at the scene.

The Mount Helen woman has since been charged with one count of murder.

She has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Ballarat Magistrates’ court on December 30.

Police will allege the pair were known to each other.

The man’s body was lying in the front yard on Saturday morning, covered by a white sheet.

Police have established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
