A batch of fruit hot cross buns has been urgently recalled over fear they main contain glass.

The recall concerns Little Dough Co fruit hot cross buns, sold in packs of nine at Foodland supermarkets and online across South Australia.

Food Standards Australia found the “presence of foreign matter”, listed as glass, posing a risk to anyone who eats them.

“Food products containing foreign matter may cause illness/injury if consumed,” the recall notice states.
