A teenager was allegedly held at gunpoint over a toy pistol after a Sydney house party got out of hand.
Police were called to a party Forestville in Sydney’s Northern Beaches on Saturday night after a large group of uninvited teenafers reportedly attended.
The host of the Boree Street house party had called police to help move the uninvited group on.
Officers were confronted with about 150 people — mostly teens — in the street when they arrived at the street.
The group allegedly weren’t cooperating with police and threw glass bottles at officers, with more police being sent in to assist.
A video posted to the Manly Observer shows a teen standing outside a house with his hands behind his head as people frantically yell.
“It’s a fake gun,” someone can be heard saying as another yells “Oi, what is going on bro?” over the top.
“Get the f*** out of here bro, f*** you,” someone yells as the camera moves away from the scene.
A NSW Police spokesperson confirmed officers approached a 17-year-old due to a suspected firearm in his waist band.
The teenager complied with police directions and officers removed the item, which was confirmed to be a toy pistol.
The crowd dispersed after about an hour and no officers were injured.
Investigations remain ongoing.
