Crews have been working to restore power after thousands were cut in Sydney’s southwestern suburbs.
A blackout hit more than 2,000 properties in Riverwood in Sydney’s south were without power in the early hours of Wednesday morning, an Ausgrid spokesperson told NewsWire.
“Crews have been working since we became aware of (the outages),” the spokesperson said.
Power has since been restored to more than 1800 homes and businesses.
However, Ausgrid is working to restore more than 250 properties which remain without power in Penshurst, Hurstville, and Beverly Hills, which was first reported at 5.50am on Wednesday.
The Ausgrid spokesperson told NewsWire power is set to be restored by 8am.
