A man has died after being struck by a train during the morning commuter rush, with emergency crews fighting to save his life at the scene.
A man has died after being struck by a train at a northern suburbs railway crossing during Tuesday morning’s commuter rush.
Just after 8.30am, police and ambulance crews were called to the Dudley Park crossing near Pym St following reports a pedestrian had been hit.
According to The Advertiser, more than a dozen emergency vehicles surrounded the intersection as paramedics worked on the pedestrian behind a screen.
The train involved in the incident remained nearby with no passengers on board, while commuters were asked to leave and seek alternative transport.
Tragically, police later confirmed a 30-year-old Munno Para West man died at the scene.
Police said the man’s death is not being treated as suspicious, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
