A suspicious house fire in Clarendon Vale has caused $300k in damages

Police are calling for information after a suspicious fire caused significant damages to a private home north of Hobart.

POLICE are appealing to the public for information after a suspicious fire caused $300,000 worth of damage to a private home in Clarendon Vale.

At around 4.05am today emergency services were called to the blaze at Rockingham Drive, Clarendon Vale.

On arrival the unoccupied three bedroom home was found to be well alight. Initial estimates on damages to the private home are around $300,000.

The fire is being treated as suspicions with investigations continuing throughout the day.
