A father and his two children who died in a horror car crash in Queensland’s Western Downs have been identified.

The family of four were travelling on Dalby Jandowae Rd, Jimbour East, just north of Dalby, about 11am on Monday when the sedan they were driving in was allegedly crashed into from behind.

The two children, Ocean, 15, and Warrior, eight, were in the backseat of the car and sustained critical injuries.

Both died at the scene, according to 7News.

Their 54-year-old father, Phil, was sitting in the front seat and was also declared dead at the scene.

His wife, Krystal, was rushed to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where she is fighting for her life.

She was flown in a critical condition with chest, abdominal and arm injuries.

Devastated relative Storm Reddacliff took to social media to share a GoFundMe he set up in memory of his “beloved family”.

“In memory of my beloved family, who tragically passed away in a car accident on Jimbour east road from Jandowae, I humbly ask for your support,” Mr Reddacliff wrote.

“Your donation will help cover funeral expenses and support my well-being during this difficult time. Any contribution, big or small, will be deeply appreciated.

“My family was a shining light in my life, and their loss has left a profound impact on me. Your kindness and generosity will help me navigate this challenging period and honor their memory.”

The man driving the LandCruiser ute which allegedly crashed into the family’s car from behind was taken to Dalby Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The man behind the wheel of the LandCruiser ute suffered back injuries and was taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a serious but non-life-threatening condition.

The accident is being investigated by the Queensland Police Forensic Crash Unit.

Police are urging Queenslanders to be careful on the roads, with more than 130 people dying so far this year.

“Can I please remind everyone that we have a significant challenge with our road toll this year,” Police Commissioner Steve Gollschewski said.

“People on the road need to obey the rules of the road and drive to the conditions.”
