A Transperth bus driver has been stood down after he was filmed threatening and pushing a high school student on Wednesday afternoon.

The incident, which happened as the bus was transporting students home from school in Perth’s eastern suburbs, was caught on camera by passengers, Perth Now reports.

The driver can be heard threatening to throw students off the bus after getting annoyed at their behaviour.

“(If you) start pressing the bell when you’re not getting off I’ll be f...ing throwing youse(sic) off,” the driver shouted.

Students at the back of the bus can then be heard getting louder – and yelling back at the bus driver.

“I didn’t touch that s***,” one yelled.

“I’m calling the police,” screamed another.

As the bus came to a stop, a male student can be seen approaching the driver.

He is then heard saying “get a f...ing drivers test” before the driver threatens him.

“Shut your f...ing mouth … I’ll punch the s..t out of ya(sic)“ he is heard shouting back, before agreeing to “step outside”.

Passengers can then be heard screaming at the driver as he unbuckled his seatbelt and opened the cage to get out.

“What are you doing, woah,” one student said.

The pair are then captured arguing outside of the bus before the driver shoves the student and returns to the bus — telling passengers to “sit down, shut up and behave yourselves”.

When alerted to the shocking footage, a public transport authority spokesperson confirmed the driver has been stood down while an investigation takes place.

Ellenbrook Police said they were advised of a “disturbance” on Wednesday afternoon but had not received any complaints.

“At this time we would suggest anyone who was on the bus and saw, or was the victim of an assault, to contact police via Crime Stoppers,” a police spokesperson said.
