Shocking dashcam footage has captured the moment an e-scooter slams into a Tesla before the driver speeds off from a busy Gold Coast intersection.
The footage, uploaded by Dashcam Owners Australia, shows the high-impact collision unfold at a set of traffic lights on Foxwell Rd, Coomera, on the Gold Coast in December.
The red Tesla was stopped at a red light waiting for the all clear to turn right.
But as the driver accelerates when the green light changes, an e-scooter can be seen crossing the pedestrian crossing at speed.
The e-scooter rider slams into the bonnet of the Tesla, forcing the driver to stop and get out of his car.
The footage reveals the moment the e-scooter rider is thrown in the air before falling to the ground.
He gets to his feet and makes his way to the footpath.
But instead of going to check if the e-scooter is okay, the Tesla driver is seen allegedly getting back into his car before speeding off from the scene.
The owner of the car which recorded the entire interaction on its dashcam video is seen in the footage to pull over and check to see if the e-scooter rider is okay after the nasty crash.
