A cyclist has been left in a critical condition after a collision in Sydney, with police alleging the car involved fled the scene.

A cyclist has been left fighting for life after a crash in Sydney’s southwest, with police alleging the vehicle involved fled the scene.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Sackville St and Hamilton Rd in Fairfield at about 3.40pm on Monday following reports of a crash between a push bike and motor vehicle.
A 63-year-old man was rushed to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.
Police were told a vehicle left the scene following the crash, with specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit examining the scene.
A 69-year-old woman was arrested hours later at a Fairfield home about 6.40pm Monday.
A vehicle found at the home was seized for forensic examination.
The 69-year-old was released from custody pending further inquiries.
