If you like your utes big, bad and brawny this is the machine for you.
US website Allpar claims that Ram is finally building the bonkers Hellcat-powered Rebel TRX concept from 2016. Ram has previously confirmed the concept would go into production but details haven’t been revealed.
The Rebel TRX is based on the Ram 1500. The same model is sold in Australia via local outfit American Special Vehicles, which imports and converts the pick-ups to right-hand drive.
Headlining the super ute is a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 making a whopping 522kW and 868Nm. This engine also features in the manic Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.

Citing insider sources, Allpar claims the Rebel TRX will use an eight-speed auto sending power to all four wheels.
If the monstrous beast is anything like the Jeep, it will be able to sprint from 0-100km/h in under four seconds and top speed nudging 300km/h.
This kind of performance puts it on par with supercars such as the Lamborghini Aventador and McLaren 720S.
But environmentally conscious drivers will cringe at the fuel use, which will be well above 15L/100km.
It is claimed the TRX would keep much of the macho styling of the concept with chunky guards and flared wheel arches, monstrous tyres and lots of contrast black parts.
If the American-style ute makes it to Australia, it would provide an option for drivers who have been calling for a more powerful ute after they were disappointed by the Ford Ranger Raptor.
The regular Ram 1500 sells for about $80,000 in Australia — the Hellcat-powered variant would command much more.
