SOUTHERN Tasmanian wine producer Bream Creek Vineyard has taken out a hat-trick of trophies at highly regarded international wine shows.
The Dunalley winery was recognised in Europe and Asia for its chardonnay and pinot noir varieties.
Bream Creek took out the Best White Wine of Show at the International Wine Competition in Austria, the largest recognised show in the world.
More than 12,000 wines from 1716 producers in 39 countries were entered in this year’s show.
Bream Creek also won the Best Chardonnay up to 12.9% Alcohol and the trophy for Best Pinot Noir at the 2018 Hong Kong International Wine and Spirit Competition.
Bream Creek vigneron Fred Peacock said the success on the world stage was “quite incredible”.
“These results in international competitions provide a strong endorsement of the great quality of the wines we are producing in Tasmania,” he said.
“There is no doubt that the combination of pinot noir, chardonnay and the Tasmanian climate is the envy of many Australian and international wine producers.”
