My wife is angry I made her sleep on the nursery floor because of my snoring

"She wanted me to leave because I was waking the baby, but I need my sleep, too," the dad writes in a deleted post. But we've got the screenshots.

Things parents think during 2 AM Nappy Changes

It's a question for the ages: when one person in bed is snoring and keeping the other person awake, who should sleep somewhere else?

According to one man on the internet, it should be his partner and newborn.

As you can imagine, his post was very divisive - so much so that it was deleted soon after due to intense backlash.

But don't worry - we've got a screenshot.

"She walked out with the baby"

The dad explains that his partner and he have an exclusively breastfed two-month-old daughter. He acknowledges this means she gets significantly less sleep than she does but asserts they both accept it.

He adds that he works as a game designer 9am to 5pm every day, and "helps with holding and changing" when possible.

"But after having dinner with my fiancée, and looking after the baby for a while, I jump on and work on the game."

For the last few nights, he's been up until 1am or 2am, and admits he "snores like a maniac" when he's tired. He adds that the baby had her vaccinations the night before writing the post, and was "extra fussy." After his partner finally got her to sleep, the partner came to bed at 2am.

"She immediately asked me to sleep on the couch so I wouldn't wake the baby with my snoring. I said no. The couch is so uncomfortable. I had to work early. I wanted to sleep.

"She called me a 'fucking prick' and walked out with the baby."

The next morning, the man discovered her asleep on the nursery floor with no covers, while the baby was in her cot. She is now not speaking to him, and he is seeking validation for his behaviour.

"She is exhausted in a different way you can't get"

The post divided readers.

There were those who admonished the man, with one writing, "She is exhausted in a way you can't get, and she's still recovering."

Another added: "I hope you give her a sleep in on the weekends."

And a third said, "You can still support her overnight even if the baby isn't feeding from you."

One brutally commented: "This is a major red flag about your attitude your family. Sacrifices need to be made. Sleep on the couch and let your wife share your bed with your daughter."

The man was also called "selfish" many times over. However, there were some who acknowledged his perspective.

"I get it, man. Sleeping on the couch is the worst," one supporter wrote.

"You're the breadwinner at the moment, a lot is riding on your success," added another.

Finally, there was this comment: "She can sleep when the baby sleeps during the day..."
