My kid's school told me to pick up my son as I packed alcohol in his lunchbox

"Whenever my son was born, the best advice I got was 'you know more than you think you do,' but today is not that day," the dad said as he explained how this epic parenting fail happened.

However, one dad's lunch box mistake was bigger than your typical food mix-up.

"One of these is not sparkling water"

Will Meyers, who runs a popular TikTok account @moneymanmyers, took to the platform to document the moment he realised he accidentally packed his son a beer in his lunch.

He begins the clip, which now has over 2.7 million views: "Well, I’ve got to go pick up my kid from school today because I made a big mistake.

"Whenever my son was born, the best advice I got was 'you know more than you think you do,' but today is not that day."'

He then shows how this parenting fail came about, flipping the camera around to show two cans sitting on the kitchen bench.

One is a black Guinness beer can and one is a black Liquid Death can (a sparkling water brand whose packaging resembles a beer.)

Meyers continues, "You see, one of these is sparkling water and he likes for me to pack that in his lunch because it’s awesome.

"One of these is not sparkling water, although it looks like the sparkling water can, it is not sparkling water.”

He then got called into his son's school regarding the incident.

"Therefore, I have to go pick up my kid from school and try to explain this situation," he says.

"I sent my child with his brother’s diaper bag instead of his book bag"

The comments were full of laughing emojis and sympathy for the dad, as well as plenty of anecdotes from other parents about their own fails.

One woman commented: "My dad sent me to school with a Mike’s hard lemonade in kindergarten, so I think it’s just a normal dad thing."

Another person added: "I sent two packs of cigarettes in a bag of paper plates and napkins to my daughter’s class."

"Today I sent my child with his brother’s diaper bag instead of his book bag," another parent chimed in.

Then another wild story came from this mum: "My daughter thought she found a car's 'shifter' on the ground and brought it into her school. It was a bong. Police were called. Fun times."

And this teacher said it's a common mistake as well: "A kid brought in a can of White Claw thinking it was regular sparkling water, too."

Then another educator said: "Lolll I once had a dad panicking to get to his daughter's lunchbox before she got to his missing brownies."
