My daughters don’t go to school and won’t work a day in their lives

"They're homeschooled and make cash online while we’re out for ice cream," the mum said in a clip that's divided parents.

"They will never work a day in their life"

Amanda Custer, a mum of three, has taken to TikTok to share her unique approach to parenting — one that could see her daughters never needing to work a traditional job if they choose not to.

According to the mum, her philosophy is simple. Equip kids with skills they need for complete autonomy over their lives from a young age.

In her case, that means homeschooling them and teaching them day trading, a form of trading securities that aims to capitalise on short-term changes in price.

She explained in the clip: "[Homeschooling them means] we're already pre-conditioning them to live their life with complete freedom."

Plus, "I'm teaching them the skill of day trading so that they can create unlimited passive income straight from their phones anytime, anywhere, any place."

"Creating little legends"

She then films her daughters on a day out, getting ice cream while trading on their phones.

Her eldest, 12, proudly turns her screen around to show the camera the trades she's made.

"I’m creating little legends," she captioned the clip.

In another video, she explains that she hopes her daughters "live a life of complete freedom" because of day trading so "they can spend their time doing what they love, volunteering for special projects that they love, and never ever have to trade a single minute of their lives for money."

The mum also shared that day trading has allowed her to support her whole family.

"Wish schools would teach this"

Amanda's video has left many in awe and has already racked up over 2.4 million views.

One user wrote: "This is perfect, good job mama".

"I wish schools would teach this," shared someone else.

And another viewer expressed: "This is my dream."

"This is the only parenting style that’s acceptable," claimed a fellow mum.

However, others weren't sold on the idea.

"It's still a gamble," replied one user.

"Day trading is risky," warned another.

"If day trading worked, everyone would be doing it," snarked a different woman.
